So the man who started it all and made the San Francisco 49ers relevant, is looking to become a minority owner of the Raiders. There's so much here in this small article that make my 49er heart throb with pain and hate. Here's the takeaways for me, #3 being the biggest.
1. Don't be mad at Eddie-D: I will never be angry at this man for trying to get back into the football world. Even if he becomes a minority owner of the silver and black, Eddie-D will always be the godfather of the 49ers. What jumps off the page is that Eddie-D clearly wants back in the NFL and the Raiders are a great option to do so. But wait a second? Why isn't Eddie-D working with the 49ers right now? Which leads me to...

2. The York Family: The York's could quickly become the most hated sports family in all of the state ((if they aren't already) we are coming for you, McCourts) if they are going to let another family member get involved with an NFL team that isn't the 49ers. This isn't some random uncle of Jed's that has zero football knowledge (cough cough* Denise and John York), this is Eddie D-frickin-Bartolo! The guy who should/eventually will be in the hall of fame, the guy who brought 5 super bowl titles to the Bay under his ownership and the guy whom all 49er fans love and adore.
DeBartolo joining the Raiders front office, given his long ties to their Bay Area rivals in San Francisco, would not be shocking to those privy to the interpersonal dynamics at play between him and the York family, which owns the 49ers now.
So because Denise York has a complicated/terrible relationship with her brother and wants to let her little prince Jed run the team, we are being depraved of one of the best owners to ever run an NFL football team. Here's good ol' Denise, coming in hot!

3. Denise York: The witch that brewed a potion with her husband John and created a son, Jed. These articles below kinda blew my mind as to how/why this woman came into owning the 49ers. They are both long, just a heads-up.

So here's a woman who loves shopping at TJ Maxx (that store sucks-ass, btw) and wrestled control away from her brother because she thought that it was the "right thing to do". These are quotes/excerpts from the two separate articles, one is about Eddie-D, the other is about Denise (both linked above). Take a look at the sides the articles take, one is Pro-Eddie, the other tries very-hard to be Pro-Denise.
"I'd walk through fire for Eddie" -Randy Cross
"He not only made me a better player but he made me a better man" - Keena Turner
-The 49ers went on to win Super Bowl XVI that year, as the first ever championship for San Francisco. The victory united the city and was described as a "healing time" for the people of San Francisco. The victory parade was enormous; the streets were flooded with people wearing red and gold.
-Everything they did was first-rate, whether it was the players each having their own hotel rooms or traveling on larger planes. And DeBartolo's contributions showed up in the standings and in the record books. During a three-year span, San Francisco won an NFL record 18 consecutive road games."The way we traveled is the way we played," said Ronnie Lott.It made the players feel like comfortable and at home, and that was important to DeBartolo. He wanted to project a family environment.
-What was most telling of the person DeBartolo is when he took action after a 49ers player suffered a horrific on-the-field injury. DeBartolo setup an annuity for safety Jeff Fuller after he lost the use of his arm on a vicious collision. It showed his heart, character and business acumen all in one decision.
-"What I was doing, I was doing from my heart. I just wanted to be a part of it," Eddie DeBartolo Jr. on owning the 49ers.
-Although she and her family live in a palatial home surrounded by a gate and 129 acres, the doors squeak in her 2- year-old Chrysler Sebring convertible, and the seats are covered with dog hair.
-When Eddie DeBartolo ran the team, he boosted the 49ers' payroll to mythical proportions in the 1980s, accrued NFL fines for breaking rules, lavished Rolex watches on friends and players, and flew cross- country in the corporate jet on a whim.
-"The perception of him, with the plane, his friends, the entourage, it was ridiculous. The group, they used to fly back and forth between San Francisco and Youngstown," she says. "And a lot of my friends were told, 'You're friends with the wrong DeBartolo.' "
"Eddie's friends are his friends. I don't think they're as good as mine," Denise says flatly.
-Early in 1999, with her brother facing felony charges and the 49ers' front office in disarray, Denise moved to control his spending. She sold the company plane that Eddie loved and in February issued a memo to 49ers employees stating that Eddie no longer would be allowed to charge personal expenses to the team.
-In April 1999 -- on the advice of tax attorneys, Denise says -- the corporation filed a lawsuit against Eddie DeBartolo to recover $94 million in debts owed by him. A week later, Eddie -- at a televised press conference with Joe Montana, Jerry Rice and Roger Craig in attendance -- fired back with a suit against his sister for $150 million in damages.
-"If I could have anything come out of all of this," DeBartolo York says, "it would be for my life to get back to normal, as much as it can. And for all of us to be a family again."

OK, Denise, a couple things here. First off, you drive a Sebring? You are NOT Michael Scott, so there is no way in hell you make the stupidest car ever made, worth having. Especially because you have a net worth of over a billion dollars?! What are you? A hobo? That reason alone, is a great reason to hate you but we will push on...
You have a sick, delusional and condescending outlook on how your brother lives his life. What are you, his mother? Who cares if he is lavish with his money? It's HIS money/team!!! This is why the 49ers are 12 million under the cap. Eddie-D shops at Neiman's for his players/coaches, Denise shops at TJ Maxx. Eddie-D not only lavished himself, he lavished the franchise. Ask yourself now Denise, if every single one of the NFL owners uses the shit out of their private jets. Newsflash, that's what owners of sports-teams do! Think Jim Irsay's alcoholic/drug addicted-ass cares about how much he spoils his team and uses their jet??

I'm just clueless as to what I'm supposed to do now. Should I abandon ship? Do I continue to follow the worst SeeenBino-cursed team? Why should I love a team that has a history of a wicked witch completely sucking the wind out of a room full of super bowl parades. This woman sounds like the worst sister of all-time, easily. She did something horrendously worse after taking away her brother's team, she made her spoiled rotten kid the CEO. Denise wanted to get back to her dogs and Sebring-lifestyle so bad, that she couldn't wait till Jed York was ready by her own wacky standards.
Not sure if I can ever love this team the way I did when they were at Candlestick. Not sure what lies on the road ahead. I'm going to continue to be a fan of the 49ers but I'm doomed to a fate much worse and longer than those under Dan Snyder. I'm turning myself into fan-prison but I'm innocent! I'm the new Andy Dufresne. My family tailgates are the light in the darkness, but it will now certainly be pitch-black in the seasons moving forward :(
