Live look at Mizzou...
Last night was very chaotic. Active threats on the campus, crazy dude yelling about a race war, a false report by the MSA President about the KKK roaming campus. Some 19 year old who doesn't go to Mizzou and lives an hour and a half away posted threats on Yik Yak and was arrested. Campus today seemed post-apocalyptic. Things have only deteriorated since Monday.
Also, The Federalist reported last night that the poop swastika, which was the straw that broke the camel's back, was a giant hoax. You can read the full article here. But there was only one photo of the incident, and that photo had been on Google for over a year. No one from ResLife or MUPD saw the alleged swastika. No major news outlet has picked up the story and no one on campus seems to know either. If this story gains traction and it comes out all of this was false, there could be some serious ramifications for CS1950.
Also, quick little note on Jonathan Butler, the grad student who went on the hunger strike. His dad is the Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Union Pacific and made over $8 million last year. That's something that the national news media won't mention about the fearless leader who brought down Tim Wolfe.
It's been a crazy week and I think everyone is ready for Thanksgiving Break already. There's still much more sheeet to come too.
