Sorry I'm a bit behind here. I was back home for Thanksgiving week and I didn't even want to look at or touch my laptop all week just so I could get away from my school obligations. With that being said, I didn't get to a fantasy recap last week, so this is your two-week recap. First, here are the Week 11 results.
Seeen squeaked by D's in the Battle of the Brothers thanks in large part to D's starting two players on bye and my suggestion of starting Wilson over Mariota. Seeen doesn't make that move, he doesn't win. The Flap shocked Rogo in a 38 point victory to move further away from last place. El Mijo defeated Perry by a whopping 54 points. Julio Jones put up 29 for El Mijo. Gunshow got the benefit of PP also starting two players on byes to cruise to another victory. And finally, Uncle Todd left the Carolina defense (22 pts) on the bench in favor of the Eagles D (0 pts) which cost him the win, as Vinny picked up the W.
Next, here's what happened in Week 12.
Next, here's what happened in Week 12.
Gunshow picked up his fourth straight victory in beating Rogo in the 1-2 matchup. Jarvis Landry put up 39 for him, while Rogo got 27 from TY Hilton. Sammy Watkins earned 37 points on Rogo's bench, which prompted a "So I probably should have started Sammy today...." text. The Flap got a second straight victory to move into eighth place by beating his brother El Mijo, who just couldn't catch a break this week. El Mijo's highest scorer was his kicker, who picked up 19 points, while The Flap got solid weeks from all of his starters. The Flap has won by the biggest margin two weeks in a row now. Uncle Todd defeated Perry with big weeks from Jeremy Maclin (M-I-Z) and Brandon Marshall. Seeeen punched his playoff ticket with a win over Vinny, thanks to Calvin Johnson's 3 TD day. Finally, in a matchup of the last and second-to-last place teams, PP put up the most points of the week to send D's into last place. Despite getting 41 points from Marcus Wheaton, D's lost his eighth straight after a blistering 3-1 start. I guess I jinxed him... Sorry D's.
With that, here's the look at the standings with one week remaining.
With that, here's the look at the standings with one week remaining.
All six playoff spots have been clinched, but anything can happen with the third through sixth place teams all 7-5 and Rogo in second with a record of 7-4-1. That makes this week's matchups extremely important for playoff seeding.
But on that note, there is only one matchup with two playoff teams: (1) Gunshow vs (4) El Mijo. I guess that makes it the default Game of the Week. Other matchups this week: (8) The Flap vs (3) Uncle Todd, (2) Rogo vs (9) PP, (6) Seeen vs (7) Perry, and (10) D's vs (5) Vinny.
Anything can happen this week with spots 2-6 a half game apart. Note that the top two seeds in the playoffs have a first round bye in the playoffs. Best of luck to all in this final week of the regular season.
