Semifinal round is in the books as we now turn to the final week of this year's Section 55 Fantasy Football League. The semifinal round pitted Uncle Todd vs Rogo and Seeen vs Gunshow. Here's how last week shook out.
Gunshow blew past Seeen thanks to Antonio Brown's monster 50 point day, despite leaving 102 points on the bench (98 of which were from three players). Seeen had a chance with the Sunday and Monday night matchups, but Malcom Floyd and Megatron put up a combined 14 points in those two games. Seeen did get some decent days from his players, but it wasn't enough to beat Gunshow. My squad is primed to defend the Championship.
In the Championship, I will face Rogo, who beat Uncle Todd in the 2-3 matchup. Uncle Todd got 36 from Danny Woodhead's 3 TD day, but couldn't keep up with Rogo who got 73 from Sammy Watkins, Matt Forte, and Devonta Freeman. Rogo even got 25 from the Chiefs D, while Uncle Todd's Achilles heal showed again with Carolina's D getting 1 point. Uncle Todd desperately needed the 33 points from Desean Jackson that was left on his bench.
But in the end, the two best teams all season will meet in a rematch of last year's Championship. Rogo has already started the trash talking, claiming he will avenge his loss from last season in which Gunshow won by 41. At the time of post, Gunshow is the slight favorite (143-141).
In other games, El Mijo claimed fifth place by beating Vinny by 56. D's put up the second most points of the week in beating The Flap. Finally, Perry beat PP handily. Here's what the brackets look like after the semifinals.

Seeen and Uncle Todd will play each other in the 3rd Place Game. Perry and D's are matched up in the 7th Place Game. The Flap still has a shot at finishing in last place again with a loss to PP in the 9th Place Game. El Mijo and Vinny are done now with finishes in 5th and 6th places respectively.
Best of luck to all (except Rogo) in the final week of this season!
