I'll say right off the bat, last night was fuckin WEIRD. Let's just cover the non-football side of the game because the Rams were literally the worst football team I have ever seen and I won't be surprised if they go 0-16 this year. Nothing against the 49ers, that was a solid week 1 win and I saw night and day improvements from last season but come on, I think Alabama could smack the Rams around and win by at least 10. More to be seen/judged next Sunday @ the Panthers.
Not tailgating before a 49er game is such a foreign feeling. My GF's Dad gave us some high-end seats that are normally given to prospective clients so we of course swooped and attended the game. My inebriation level was no where near what it normally is due to having work early the next morning but I had a couple Girls Lights and felt good. Line to get in wasn't bad at all but there was NO FREE SHIT, I repeat, NO FREE SHIT. Week 1, Monday Night Football but no cheap rally towel, crumby T-shirt or some other sponsored cheap shit was given away. Fuckin stupid but moving on. The jet fly-by after the anthem was cool and made me forget about Colin Kaepernick's protest so all good there. As you can see, the seats were pretty awesome with a great view. I was fired up and ready but as much as Levi's loves to take money, it also loves to give you hell. This form of hell is a common/frequent pain in the ass of Honer Sports very own, Uncle Todd..

Arms up in the air, get fired-up/louder Guy! He was everything that Todd had complained about too. After 90% of EVERY PLAY, this guy was waving his arms, obstructing 45% of my view. Tough to get people fired up for a 2nd and 6 play from scrimage but this guy was trying his hardest urging you to stand and get loud with him. Here's the thing though, I wasn't even mad or upset at this asshole. All I could do is laugh. Here I thought that my seats were fantastic but there's Levi's throwing a curve-ball at my viewing experience, and this is a curve-ball that Honer Sports is all too familiar with. In case you were wondering, that dude next to him was passed-out from kick-off to start of the 4th quarter when it took three guys to lift him up and out of his seat. Normally these type of asshole fans are up higher in more affordable seats but not at Levi's! With the "faithful" leaving in droves and PSL's essentially being given away, this crew was movin' on up. Now more affluent 49er fans get to experience drunken, idiotic and delusional fans in all of their glory. Then on the way out, Uber happened..
Since the game was over after the 3rd quarter, we decided to leave early and get a jump on the traffic. HOLY SHIT did we have the worst experience with Uber. There's a designated "Uber Pick-up" Zone about a half mile away from Levi's so we walked over there and requested an Uber to come grab us. What we didn't know was that half of the streets in the area were closed off so Uber drivers only had one way to enter the pick-up zone or else they would be driving in continuous circles, unable to come pick us up. Not only that, the Uber pick-up zone was a MASIVE cluster fuck of people and drivers. 2 female Uber reps were "working" but all the bitchy women were doing was yelling at people to stay off the street and not trying to coordinate the drivers in and out smoothly. 3 Uber drivers cancelled their pick-ups with us. It took over an hour before we finally choose to walk a mile away from the stadium
Once again, Jed York wins. Although my ticket was free and I only spent $8 at the game (to buy my GF a water, my beer was all pre-game and I brought in a Mr. Pickles sandwich), I thought I wasn't giving Jed York any satisfaction, but I did. In some very distant way, I did. Jed slept like a baby last night with his billions of dollars and undefeated football team. I slept like shit because I didn't get home till 11:30 and woke up at 6:15am. No more games at Levi's for me, One and Done. Back to the Dark-Side I return, it's the only place where I feel comfortable being a fan of this team. My hate of course leading to suffering..
