Am I nervous? Of course not. I saw the giants baseball torture this year coming a mile away. There's no need to panic in April but losing 5 straight and 8 out of last 9 will bring out the worrisome folk. Going 3-35 w/ RISP during the skid is just plain gross too. Hopefully the G's get back on track here soon but we still have 5 more months of baseball, no need to freak out, only get frustrated.
In other news, look who's coming back into town this weekend!

That hat looks hideous on you, Barry but dammit it's great to see you again back in baseball where you belong. Time to bring up the statue talk again. Why does he not have one? Barry built AT&T, yet we are giving a statue to spit-ball throwing pitcher first, in Gaylord Perry, in true Focker-Fashion. Do the Giants think that this new/my generation gives a shit about Gaylord Perry?? Hell no. I only know Gaylord Perry as the guy who sits behind the autograph table down in Scottsdale every year, over-charging to sign a baseball. But what did Barry do for Giants fans? Not much..
Look at Lou Seal behind the plate in that gif above. That's what Barry did. Made baseball electrifying to watch. At any moment, the ball could explode off his bat and plummet into the icy waters of McCovey Cove. Barry gave me a love and excitement for baseball that will never be recreated, not even by three World Series or even the first date I had with my Carrie at AT&T.
It's not like Barry loves SF back or anything..
"That's my home," Bonds said. "Nothing in the world takes that away from me. Those are my people, my friends, my family, my history."
"I can't say enough about how the Marlins have treated me, but San Francisco will always have my No. 1 spot," he said. "I always say I don't have fans in San Francisco. I have family. If you're family, you're always family, and that shouldn't change. My heart will always be at home.
"I love them unconditionally."
I hope Barry gets a standing ovation every game this weekend and I hope the Giants ownership finally takes a hint and gives a bronze statue to the man responsible for putting so many asses in the seats of AT&T. What a beautiful statue this shot below would be..
