The Field of 64 for the NCAA Baseball postseason was released yesterday. There were some very questionable calls, so let's just jump right into it.
Here are my issues with the Selection Committee's final product:
Now, time for my Regional Predictions:
UCLA
Virginia
Oklahoma St
MO State
Miami (FL)
Oregon St
College of Charleston
Florida
LSU
Rice
A&M
TCU
Illinois
Vandy
Fullerton
Louisville
Check in next week for recap of Regional play and Super Regional predictions.

- UCLA somehow jumped LSU for the first overall seed even though they lost their final series and had a worse record than the Tigers.
- Next, UC Santa Barbara got a regional host despite their poor last half of the season and their dismal attendance. Because they don't have lights, the region will be hosted in Lake Elsinore, CA, three hours away from the campus!
- Bradley, Oregon, and Clemson made the cut in the Committee's eyes, beating out UNC, Michigan State, and my Missouri Tigers. Bradley had a losing record in conference play, Oregon had a RPI of 66, and Clemson had a losing record versus the RPI Top 100. I am probably extremely biased since I work for the team, but I think Mizzou is a much better team but got left out. Our non-conference record hurt, but you can't argue against the second toughest schedule.
- Finally, I disagree with MO State getting a National Seed (top 8 team and host of Super Regional if they advance). Don't get me wrong, they are a great team with good hitters 1-9 and two good pitching prospects. But they beat out Vanderbilt, Texas A&M, and Florida State, and it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
